This is my final draft of my front cover of my music magazine. I chose the genres Pop/R&B/Rap, for the target audience of both genders, aged 15-19.
As my magazine is a mixture of three different genre's, I decided not to go with the typical layout of a music magazine, which is using a mid shot of one celebrity, showing huge detail of their face. I wanted to create a unique magazine, so I decided to put two huge celebrities on the front using a long shot image. This is something I want to include in my final front cover, as it make the magazine one of a kind and not a typical music magazine.
I also want my magazine to be cluttered with text and images of what and who is included inside. I went with a Sans font and didn't stick to just one font size. To make it more eye catching and appealing to my target audience, I used a different range of sizes and shades of colours, which I think makes it look very effective and appealing, and makes you want to read what is inside.
The title 'HOT OR NOT' links in with the genres as it show all three go head to head, to find out which is really the best genre of music, shown by the images on the bottom of the magazine. The fire at the top and bottom of this magazine is really effective and works really well with the title, linking the whole magazine together.
Most music magazines have a three colour scheme, however I'm not too keen on a three colour scheme, so I went with one main colour, which was red in two different shades, which is bold and really eye catching and again would appeal to the set target audience.
